Our Soapbox resources for homesteading, genealogy, faith, learning, technology, and citizenship

Resources

I started Our Soapbox to share what I’ve learned and offer information that others might find helpful. I think knowledge is most valuable when we share it and support each other.

This Resources page will bring together practical guides, worksheets, checklists, and other tools to help you explore the topics we talk about on Our Soapbox.

If you’re starting a garden, researching your family history, learning about artificial intelligence, exploring our country’s history, or looking for ways to grow in faith and serve your community, I hope you find something here that helps you.

We’ll continue adding resources as we learn, research, and develop new materials. Some will be for beginners, and others will help you move forward with things you’ve already started.

You don’t need to know everything to begin. Sometimes, a bit of guidance, a willingness to learn, and some encouragement are all it takes to get started.

Resources Planned for Launch

We’re putting together our first set of practical resources for the launch of Our Soapbox on January 6, 2027.

We want to offer helpful materials you can use in your daily life, whether you’re planning a garden, researching your family history, learning something new, or finding ways to help others.

As we finish new resources, we’ll add them and make it clear which ones you can read or download.

We hope these resources help you use what you’ve learned and put it into action, one step at a time.

Patriotism Resources

I think learning about our country’s history, Constitution, and government is key to being a responsible citizen. The more we understand, the better prepared we are to ask questions, see things from different perspectives, and get involved in decisions that shape our communities.

As we build this section of our Resource Library, I want to share historical references, useful guides, and practical information to help people learn more about America’s past and help shape its future.

Being a responsible citizen begins with being open to learning, asking questions, and working to improve our communities.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6 (KJV)
